Ride Anywhere Anytime Scavenger Hunt (RAASH)

RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS

1.    No one connected with the management or judging of this contest may participate in the contest.

2.    All clues will be answered by photo submission.  The photo may be taken anywhere but must be dated within the dates of the contest.

3.    At least one of the team members must have a Google Account as the contest is scored on Google Sheets.  Team must upload their photos on Google Sheets, which are scored for the contest. (Yup, instructions on how to do this will be provided.) 

4.    The contest is open to members and nonmembers; however, each team must have at least one SCCHA member.

5.    The SCCHA Showgrounds CANNOT be used for any purpose.

6.    Teams must have at least 2 riders and are strictly limited to no more than 3 riders.

7.    At least 2 members of the team must appear in each photo answering the clue.  If you have only 2 members, the rider taking the photo must show the ears of the horse they are riding in the photo.

8.    A rider can only sign up for one team.

9.    Minors can join the team but must be accompanied by an adult when riding.

10.  Minors must wear helmets and adults are encouraged to wear helmets.  Any photos showing a minor rider without a helmet will disqualify the team.

11.  Until otherwise stated, all Covid-19 rules must be adhered to.  This means that all photos of people must show them wearing a mask and team trail rides should not be more than 2 hours.

12.  People that own more than one horse can use any horse to answer a clue.

13.  Humane and safe behavior per the SCCHA Mission Statement must be followed.



INSTRUCTIONS

1.    Form your team and select a team captain. 

2.    Have every team member sign up online and pay a $10 entry fee.

3.    When the entire team has signed up and paid a Google Sheet form and clues will be sent to you. Be sure you have a 2- or 3-member team before paying the entry fee, there are no refunds.

4.    Once you have access to the Google Sheet for your team, insert an image of the team captain where indicated at the top.  This will give you a chance to be sure that you understand the instructions for completing the sheet.  If you have any problems email Larry. (larrydeyo@gmail.com)

5.    Write the answer to each clue on the sheet, insert the date the photo was taken and insert the image as instructed on the sheet.

6.    The Google Sheet document will be owned by Larry De Young and shared with the team captain who will be given editing (fill in access).  At the end of the contest, the team with the most correct answers will be declared a winner.  In the event that there are ties, the team that answered the questions the quickest will be declared the winner.  Thus, is important to keep your form updated and send in answers as soon as you have them.

7.    All members of the winning team will be placed in a drawing and one will win an electric wheelbarrow. There will be additional prizes for the other winning team members.
